Rossack Vinyard Wines

The Rossack Vineyard is ideally located in central Barossa Valley on Vine Vale Road between the Townships of Tanunda & Nuriootpa. The Rossack family Vineyard was held within the family for 4 generations prior to Colorado Vines taking ownership. Tim Hower and Brian Waples purchased Rossack and Markell vineyards in 2013.

Brian Waples has been involved with the wine industry for over 25 years. After commencing his working life in banking and finance, Brian spent time with Kaiser Stuhl/Penfolds, Grant Burge Wines and is currently working with the Lindner Group as well as consulting to the wine industry. Tim has an extensive career in the oil and gas industries, which has brought him to Adelaide over the past 23 years. These trips exposed Tim to the Barossa Valley and over the past few years, he has acquired severalhigh- quality vineyards through the region.

With winemaker Corey Ryan (also of Sons of Eden), Rossack and Markell have become synonymous with high quality, estate-made Barossa Shiraz, Grenache and Cabernet. The land, which has an elevation of around 260 meters, is level with views to the Barossa Rangers. This region has a Mediterranean climate with warm growing period, high sunshine days and ideal for growing full bodied red wines.
